Purpose

The procedure establishes a detailed framework for posting on Buzz Marketing's social media platforms. By following the outlined details, you can ensure consistency, timeliness, and effectiveness. 

Application

This applies to the marketing/social media coordinator who creates and posts content on Buzz's social media. 

1. Brainstorm Ideas for All the Social Media Platforms

Brainstorm ideas for the 4 social media post categories: Promotional, Engaging, Educational, and Entertaining. Review the posts and website to evaluate the effectiveness of past content and identify non-engaging posts for future improvement.

Mix your posts with short videos and Canva posts.

2. Add the Ideas to the Buzz Social Media Content Calendar

On your Google Drive, search for Buzz Marketing Content Calendar  and add three weeks' worth of ideas to the content calendar. Ensure that the ideas are spread out so that there are 3 posts a week.

3. Create Social Media Content

Using Canva, create informational and promotional posts such as carousels, blog post alerts, and new website launches. These posts can be posted on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Make short, engaging videos such as the latest trends using Instagram reels, Capcut, or TikTok editor. This is a good way to get the team involved. Short videos can be posted on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
 
Create posts to market different services offered by Buzz Marketing. Use the services section on the website for more information.  

4. Schedule the Posts using SEMrush

Open the SEMrush social media poster and click on the date you would like to schedule your post. At the top, check all the social media platforms you want to post to. Paste the caption and hashtags into the space where it says, "Paste a link or type something," and click the image button to add the post.

After you add the post and caption, click on the Schedule tab and add the date and time you want to publish your post according to the content calendar. Double-check all the information and click Schedule. 

Please note that videos can not be posted using SEMrush and must be posted through your phone or another device.

5. Update the Content Calendar

After you have scheduled the posts on the SEMrush social poster, update the Schedule Column in the content calendar.

6. Make the Next Round of Posts

Make sure you always have 3 weeks' worth of content scheduled in advance. Follow the same steps when creating another round of posts.
