Purpose

This policy outlines the steps employees must take to request vacation or unpaid time off.

Application

Vacation policy and request procedures are in place for permanent full-time employees. Paid vacation and time off are available for a maximum of 3 weeks per year, depending on the employee's length of service.

1. Request 

Employees requesting a paid vacation or unpaid time off must email their requested dates to the General Manager for approval.

To send an email for this request, email support@buzzmarketing.ca with the subject line: Vacation/Time Off Request. This will create a ticket assigned to the General Manager for review.



2. Review

The General Manager will review the request to ensure that the dates are feasible based on the employee's department and the number of other requests around that time frame, if any. 

3. Approval

Once the dates have been approved, the General Manager will assign the Vacation /Time Off Request ticket to the Office Admin.

The Office Admin will book the Vacation/ Time Off calendar dates. The employee and General Manager will be notified once the dates have been booked.





The Office Admin will also record the dates each employee has booked and the number of vacation days remaining for the calendar year.
