Purpose

Welcome to the Buzz Marketing staff kitchen! Our kitchen is a shared space where everyone can enjoy a break, grab a snack, or have lunch. As a part of our ongoing efforts to make Buzz Marketing a great workplace, we are happy to provide a variety of snacks and drinks for everyone to enjoy. These are available to all staff members and are restocked monthly during our scheduled shopping run.

Application

We kindly ask everyone to adhere to kitchen etiquette guidelines to ensure a pleasant and clean environment. 

Guidelines:

Wipe Down Counters After Use

Please clean any spills or crumbs left on the counters immediately after use. Cleaning supplies are provided under the sink. A clean counter is welcoming and reduces the risk of pests.

Wash Your Dishes

After enjoying your meal or drink, please wash any dishes, utensils, or glassware used. If you have used any common kitchen items, such as pans or cutting boards, clean them and return them to their rightful place.

Microwave Use and Aromas

To maintain a pleasant aroma in the kitchen and surrounding areas, please refrain from microwaving anything with seafood or smelly cheeses (for example). The strong odours can linger and may not be appreciated by your colleagues. This applies to any food items you bring with you to the office. Please be scent sensitive and refrain from bringing food with powerful smells.

Responsibility for Paper Towels

In the spirit of maintaining a clean and functional kitchen and snack area, if you notice that the current roll of paper towels is almost used up, please take a moment to replace it with a new one. The extra rolls are stored in the designated cabinet under the sink or on the shelf in the Production room.

Refrigerator Use

There is a weekly fridge clean-out. Our fridge gets cleaned out every Friday afternoon. Please label your items with your name and the current date. Any items left in the fridge by Friday, at the end of the day, will be discarded, except for company-provided condiments and beverages. This policy helps us keep the fridge clean and free of expired or forgotten items.

Respect Other's Food 

Please do not take or use someone else's food or drinks without permission. Everyone's respect for each other's belongings is crucial for a harmonious workplace.

Recycling & Composting

We are committed to sustainability. Please follow the recycling and composting guidelines that are posted above the bins.

Moderation is Key 

Please enjoy the snacks and drinks in moderation. This ensures there is enough to go around for everyone throughout the month. Remember, the aim is to offer a little pick-me-up during the day rather than to provide full meals.

Mindful Snack Sharing

To ensure everyone enjoys the communal snacks, we ask that you practice mindful sharing, especially with snacks provided in large boxes or containers. Instead of taking the entire box to your desk, please use a cup or bowl to take a portion. This helps maintain hygiene and ensures that snacks are fairly distributed among all team members.

Diversity of Choices 

Our snacks and drinks cater to various tastes and dietary requirements. Feel free to suggest items to the Office Admin if you have a specific preference or dietary restriction. Budget permitting, we will do our best to include your requests in the following shopping run.


As members of the Buzz Marketing team, we are fortunate to share a workplace that not only fosters creativity and collaboration but also cares for your well-being through amenities like the staff kitchen and the snacks and drinks provided. These privileges are a token of appreciation for each team member's hard work and dedication. To ensure these benefits continue to enhance our work environment and are enjoyed by all, we ask everyone to adhere to the guidelines for kitchen use and the consumption of office-provided snacks.
