Purpose

This policy outlines to the employees what is expected with regard to time tracking, which involves signing in and out. For payroll reasons, everyone's hours worked must be accounted for. Therefore, a timesheet is provided for signing in and out.

Application

All full-time and part-time Buzz Marketing employees must adhere to this policy. According to the employment agreement for each employee, work hours are between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with an optional hour unpaid for lunch and two (2) fifteen (15) minute paid breaks. Employees may use these times for lunch or personal time away from the office.

1. Signing In

Every employee is expected to record their arrival time on the timesheet provided at the front desk. Write the time under the Time In section.

2. Signing Out for Breaks/Lunch/Appointments

If an employee decides to take a break or lunch, resulting in more than 30 minutes away from the office, or has to leave for an appointment, they should record the time they leave in the Break/Lunch Start time slot.

Once they have returned to the office, they must record the time in the Break/Lunch End slot.

3. Sign Out

At the end of the day, before employees leave, they are required to record the time they leave in the section labelled Time Out.

4. Working from Home

When working from home, all work hours must be accurately recorded using the designated Time Tracking Spreadsheet. This ensures transparency and accountability.

The steps above are to be followed for signing in and out and for breaks of more than 30 minutes.

The timesheet at the front desk is updated weekly, and the online timesheet is updated at the end of each pay period.
